Trip to Taytay Falls: Backpacking

I was planning a month ago prior to our trip to Majayjay Laguna, where one of the majestic falls is located. I invited my best friend but she was not available on the date that I set for our supposed trip. So, I've decided to be with my daughter with her two best friends instead. We went there last March 18 . We left home at 4:30 am and rode a taxi going to Buendia where the Jac Liner Bus terminal is located. Good thing we caught the bus just right on time because if not, then I'm sure we are going to wait for 30 mins or more for the next bus to depart because they have to fill it in with passengers. So we hopped in immediately and the bus departed after 5 mins. After two hrs of travel we reached Sta Cruz terminal at around 7:30. We were waiting for jeepney bound to Majayjay when a tricycle driver approached me and said he will be going to take us directly to Taytay Falls drop off point and asked for 700 php. I haggled to lower the price and it was down to 600 php, but still I thought it's kind of expensive as I have already searched on google about the fare in going there, so I refused, we just waited for a jeepney at the highway and after 10 mins there's one coming. The fare is only 140 for four 35/pax, we ride going to Majayjay town proper. We alighted at the terminal then ride another tricycle going to Taytay falls for 240 php, we were 4 so it's 60/pax. The trip going there is a bit scary  because of the zigzag road and a lot of curves. Along our way  the green meadows welcomed us  and the cool breeze of fresh air rushing onto our face gives soothing effect that made me calm while on board the tricycle. Finally, we reached Taytay falls Brgy Hall where we registered and paid 20.00 pesos DENR fee as a sort of entrance charge.

Start of our more or less 20 mins trek down to the majestic waterfalls.

At last I set foot in this enchanted place, I can't help but mesmerized the view that surrounds me. The splash of the waterfalls, lush vegetation and pristine waters, so clear that I can see the rocks underneath. I was so ecstatic. It's truly a haven.

The main catch basin of the falls. My daughter enjoying the ice cold crystal clear waters.

After 3 hrs of staying, we decided to pack up and get ready for our trip back to Manila. We brought our garbage going up, because the policy here is garbage in garbage out so as to maintain the cleanliness of the place. And for us to help in preserving our mother nature,as a tourist we should take responsibility in cleaning up the area before leaving. We left as early as 11:30 so as to avoid lots of tourist who will be also waiting for a ride going back to Majayjay town proper. Before we left we took lunch in one of the food stall at the drop off point. It was really awesome and fun travel. A perfect natures get away. I would definitely come back here again.
